【国際コース】「Call」授業　～アプリを使って、効率的に学ぶ～

　国際コースでは、「コンピューター・アシステッド・ランゲージ・ラーニング」（CALL）という授業があります。週一回、生徒たちが「イングリッシュ・セントラル」（English Central）という特別なアプリを使って、数多くの厳選された英語の動画の中から自分が見たい動画を選んで視聴します。見た後には動画で出てきた英単語のクイズを行ったり、マイクを使ってその英単語を話してみたりします。またその発音はAIによって評価・フィードバックされます。
　しかし、本日のCALL授業はいつもと違って、今年度でたくさん見た動画の中で最も面白い、最も役に立つ、最も勉強になる、最もおすすめできるなどの動画を他のクラスメートに紹介しました。自分が何を見たかだけではなく、個人の好みや興味も英語で伝えることの練習も楽しくできました。

One of the classes on our International Course is “Computer Assisted Language Learning” (CALL). Once a week, students use an app called, “English Central,” which has a huge number of specially selected English videos. The students choose a video, watch it, and then are quizzed on the English vocabulary from the video. They can also try saying the words and the app’s AI will check their pronunciation. However, today’s class was a little different. Today, the students introduced the most interesting or useful videos they had watched during the year’s classes to their classmates. In this way, students could have fun practicing not only talking about the videos, but also expressing their own likes and interests in English.
