【国際コース】　「Test Skills」授業　～リスニング力アップ！～　

　国際コースの生徒の多くが、最も役に立った授業は「Test Skills」だと言います。

　このクラスでは、英検のスコアアップだけでなく、より効果的な英語学習法を学ぶために時間を使っています。今週の授業では、英検のリスニングパートの練習をしました。特別なスピードディクテーションの練習をしました。
　この練習では、英検の録音を2回だけ聞き、聞いたことをできるだけ多く書き留める必要があります。その後、聞き取れなかった単語や単語の一部を赤ペンで書き足します。こうすることで、自分が聞き取りにくい英語の部分がはっきりわかるようになります。そうすることで、自分にとって最も聞き取りにくい部分に焦点を絞ってリスニング練習をすることができます。これにより、短時間でリスニング力を向上させることができるのです。

　Many of the International Course students say that the most useful class for them is the Test Skills class. In this class the students use their time to not only improve their EIKEN test scores, but to also learn how to study English more effectively. This week in class the students were practicing the listening part of the EIKEN test. They did a special speed-dictation exercise. In this exercise they can only listen to the EIKEN recording two times and they have to write down as much as they can of what they heard. After, students add any words or even parts of words that they did not hear clearly in red pen to what they had written down. This way students can clearly see what parts of spoken English they have trouble hearing. In this way they can focus their listening practice on the parts of English which are most difficult for them to hear. This allows them to improve their listening skills quickly in a short amount of time.
