【国際コース】「Production」授業　～フィンランドから自分のコミュニティーへ～

　本日の「Production」授業では、英国のBBCのニュース記事を読んで、英語でディスカッションした上で、皆が暮らしている札幌市周辺で活動している様々なコミュニティーの改善を考えてました。

　記事で出てきたフィンランドのオウル市で盗まれてしまった自転車を探そうとしているボランティア団体のことを踏まえて、自分のコミュニティーで発生する問題を解決するためにどのようなアクションが必要か、そしてそれに対して自分は実際に何ができるかをよく考えて、英語で話しました。

　楽しく英語を使いながら時事問題の対応をしっかりと考える機会でした。

In today’s production class, we read an article from the UK’s BBC News, and used it to help us discuss how to improve the communities in our own city of Sapporo and the surrounding areas. Thinking about the Finnish volunteer group from the article, who search for stolen bicycles in their native city of Oulu, we talked about how problems which occur in our own communities could be solved, and what we might be able to practically do to help. Not only did we enjoy using our English skills, but it was also a great opportunity to think about how to deal with social issues in and around our city.
