【国際コース】　「CLIL」授業　　～先住民族の人権についてディスカッション～

　国際コースのレベル3（上級）の生徒たちは、「CLIL（内容と言語の統合学習）」授業を受けます。先週から、今学期の「文化人類学入門」というテーマに沿って、アイヌ民族の歴史と文化を勉強してきました。
　本日の授業では、それを踏まえて、2007年に国際連合が発表した「先住民族の権利に関する国際連合宣言」を部分的に読んで、アイヌ民族の具体例を参考にしながら先住民族の人権の実際のあり方や実践性を英語でディスカッションしました。
　かなり難しい話ですが、皆が自分の考えをきちんと表現して、丁寧に意見交換ができました。よく頑張りました！

The Level 3 students in our International Course take a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) class as part of their curriculum. Following this semester’s theme, “Introduction to Cultural Anthropology,” we have recently been learning about the history and culture of Hokkaido’s indigenous Ainu people. In today’s class, we read parts of the United Nation’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and, using the contemporary situation of the Ainu as an example, discussed whether and how indigenous rights are upheld in real life. It’s a very difficult topic, but everyone was able to offer and exchange their opinions in English clearly and politely. Good job everyone!
