【学習】　「英語コミュニケーション」授業　～文法の学びもコミュニケーションで！～

　3年生「英語コミュニケーション授業」では、生徒たちにとってハードルとなりがちな「現在完了形」という英文法を復習して、練習をしました。
　英語の教科書などで何度も出てくるので、生徒たちは文法の構造をよく知っていますが、どのような場面で使ったら良いのかが不明で、いつも悩んでしまいます。今回の授業では、現在完了形が入っている様々な例文を見て、その例文の背景を把握するためにペアやグループに分けて英語でディスカッションをしてみました。
　背景が理解できると、「あ、そういう時で使うんだ！」という声がそれぞれのグループから出てきました。このように、文法の理解を深くすることも、英語のディスカッション力と共に総合的なコミュニケーションスキルを改善することもできました。

　In today’s 3rd year English Communication class, we reviewed and practiced the ‘present perfect,’ which is a grammar form that often confuses students. Although it appears often in English textbooks, and students are familiar with how to construct this grammar, they are always unsure as to when they should use it. So, today, we looked at many different example sentences using this grammar, and discussed in English the context and circumstance of each sentence. When students understood the context of the sentence, they were also able to see when the present perfect is used in natural English. In this way, as well as deepening their understanding of English grammar, students were also able to improve their English discussion skills, and their general communication skills. Good job everyone!
