【ボランティア】　「クラーク札幌大通校×Amazon SPS Gives」 で地域社会を豊かに

　クラーク札幌大通校では、生徒が人生において大切なことを学ぶ機会が、教室の外にもたくさんあると考えています。そのため、定期的に、生徒がより広いコミュニティの中で様々な団体や組織とボランティア活動をする機会を設けるようにしています。

　8月は、アマゾンジャパンの公式ボランティア団体であるSPS Givesとともにボランティア活動を行いました。暑い日曜日でしたが、クラークの生徒たちはSPS Givesが毎月行っている豊平川の河川清掃活動に元気に参加。活動を始める前には、SPS Givesのメンバーのからクッキーとアマゾンのキャップがプレゼントされました（キャップは本当に便利で、涼しく過ごすことができました）！このボランティア中にSPS Givesの方々は、アマゾンについての質問に答えてくれたり、仕事や人生経験を話してくれたりし、生徒たちにとって非常に貴重な機会になったと共に、ボランティア活動を通して社会的責任を果たす大人とはどういうことなのか、生徒たちに素晴らしいお手本を示してくれました。

　SPS Givesの皆さん、本当にありがとうございました。

　生徒たちは、環境を保護し、札幌をより美しい街にし、日本で最も活気のある企業のスタッフと共にボランティアをする機会に恵まれました。次回は9月23日に行われるSPS Givesの河川清掃イベントに参加することも決定。多様な機会から生徒たちは成長しています。

At Clark Sapporo-Odori Campus, we believe that students learn many of their important life lessons outside of the regular classroom. So we try to regularly organize opportunities for students to volunteer with various groups and organizations within the wider community.

Recently, Clark was given the opportunity to volunteer with SPS Gives, the official volunteer organization of Amazon Japan. On a cloudy and hot Sunday morning, Clark students joined in SPS Gives’ monthly river cleaning activity. Before we even started, the Amazon staff welcomed our students with a gift of both cookies and an Amazon cap to stay cool. The SPS Gives members answered our students’ questions about Amazon, shared their work and life experiences, and provided our students with a great role model of what it means to be a socially responsible adult.

For two hours, our students had the opportunity to protect the environment, make Sapporo a more beautiful city, and volunteer alongside the staff of one of Japan’s most vibrant companies. It was a great morning activity and the students are really looking forward to joining SPS Gives’ next river cleaning event on September 23rd.
