クラーク国際 東京キャンパス インターナショナルコースのLevel 2のクラスでは、学年末を楽しい授業で締めくくりました。 今日は企画したLewis先生が、英語での伝統的なイギリスのオーツ麦ビスケットづくりの授業をご紹介します。

Traditional English oat biscuits

As we come to the end of the academic year, it’s nice to have a fun class to finish with! Level 2 of the International Course recently made some traditional English oat biscuits. Students attempted to cook based on English recipes. They had a lot of fun and got to take some biscuits home with them.

生徒たちは英語のレシピをもとに料理に挑みました。 皆とても楽しんで、ビスケットを家に持ち帰ることができました。 

Task-based learning

Task-based learning is a great way to acquire a language. The grammar point for our last unit was ‘simple present passive’. This English language is often used when we give instructions, such as for cooking. So as well as a fun activity it was also a much more interesting way to use the grammar point of the lesson.

タスクに基づく言語指導法（task-based learning）は、言語を習得するのに最適な方法です。前回のユニットの文法事項は「単純現在受動態」でした。この英語は、料理などの指示を出すときによく使われます。だから、楽しいアクティビティであると同時に、レッスンの文法事項をより面白く使う方法でもありました。

Learn a second language as a life-long learning

The longer I teach English, the more I feel that these kinds of the experiences are very important for learning a language. Learning a second language takes a lifetime and it’s impossible to cover everything in a few hours of class each week. 

英語を教えている時間が長くなるほど、こうした経験は言語を学ぶ上で非常に重要であると感じます。 第二言語の学習には一生かかり、毎週数時間の授業ですべてをカバーすることは不可能です。

Build a sense of enjoyment in English

But building a sense of enjoyment in English will last forever and hopefully inspire students to take control of their own language journey. The level 2 students did a fantastic job and I want to thank all of them for the many great classes we had over the last year.

しかし、英語を楽しむという感覚を築くことは永遠に続くものであり、生徒たちが自分自身の言語の旅をコントロールするきっかけとなることを願っています。 レベル 2 の生徒たちは見事な活躍をしてくれました。昨年度素晴らしい授業をたくさん一緒につくりあげてくれた生徒全員に感謝したいと思います。
