An international book-hunting field trip
Today Level 1 and 2 students from the International Course went on a little excursion to a unique book store. Why go to a book store? Reading is one of the most important things you can do to improve your English. If you have an interest in reading and a good book, your English skills will improve.
Books Kinokuniya Tokyo
We went to Books Kinokuniya Tokyo in Shinjuku. The entire sixth floor is dedicated to foreign books and has the single largest collection in Japan. They have English fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, foreign magazines, foreign comic books, manga translated in English, and much more. There is a wide variety of books in German, French, Chinese, Korean, Italian, and Spanish; making this a truly international book-hunting experience.
Vast selection of inspiring reading material
Our students had an enjoyable time immersing themselves in the vast selection of reading material. Students purchased books that matched their reading level. One student bought a book that is beyond his level, but he wanted a challenge. Even those who couldn’t afford to purchase books there will now have the inspiration to check out, other book stores and their local libraries.
