【英検】ニコール先生による「英単語学習のコツ」
クラーク記念国際高等学校東京キャンパスでは、10月6日に実施される2023年度第2回実用英語技能検定（英検）を前に、全員が受検する1, 2年生を中心に、4技能のスキルアップを図っています。今日は、ニコール先生からの英単語学習のアドバイスをご紹介します。
Let’s learn English vocabulary!

To pass EIKEN, we need to study vocabulary. At Clark, we try to make studying vocabulary fun and meaningful through self-study activities. In my class, students create vocabulary sheets from previous practice tests we have gone through in class, then quiz each other on their own vocabulary list.

英検に合格するためには、単語を学ぶ必要があります。クラークでは、主体的な学習を通して、楽しく有意義な単語学習を心がけています。私のクラスでは、生徒は過去に行った模擬テストから単語シートを作成し、自分の単語リストをクイズ形式で発表し合います。
The more you use a new word, the more likely you will remember it. We also use various study apps such as Monoxer, Kahoot, and Wordle and watch educational YouTube videos to increase vocabulary as well as listening skills.

新しい単語は使えば使うほど記憶に残りやすくなります。また、モノグサ、カフート、ワードルなどの様々な学習アプリを使ったり、ユーチューブの教育ビデオを見たりして、語彙力やリスニング力を高めています。
